The Perfect Christams Gift?

It is getting very close to Christmas and it would seem that things around here would slow down a little bit. After all, who wants to get up on Christmas morning and find a chlorinator under the tree? Or worse yet, a water softener?

Most people are shopping for high-tech gadgets and nice warm clothes. Great gifts for Christmas morning. Yet we're still pretty busy here shipping orders and all types of water treatment equipment. Replacement filters for reverse osmosis and whole-house filters have been the most popular. But most people are overlooking a great gift for Christmas that we have right here at Water Value; The Water Value 50 gallon-per-day reverse osmosis system!

I'm sure you're asking, "What makes a reverse osmosis system a good Christmas gift"? Well, The first thing that comes to my mind are the dimensions of the package it comes in. It's about 18x18x22 inches which when gift wrapped, makes for a rather large looking present. And when it is picked up and shaken, the filter wrench and hardware fittings will rattle and roll making for a very puzzled expression on the shaker's face. Beyond that, I picture this gift as very practical for the person that is charged with going out to the supermarket every week and either carting home gallon jugs of water or worse yet, having to bring empty jugs to the store to refill them at the filtered water dispenser.

Two years and six months ago, that person was me. Each week I would gather up the empty jugs and cart them on down to the supermarket to refill them. Six or eight jugs each week. What a pain that was. But I did it because there was a noticable difference in the tast of my coffee, KoolAid and boiled pasta and such. And I did not want my kids drinking water that had who-knows-what in it. I knew that the supermarket water was pure because the sign said so and you could really taste the difference.

Later on I found out that the supermarket was using the same type of method that is available to all homeowners now to filter their water; a reverse osmosis system. I spent $345.00 on one and hooked it up in no time. That really changed my life. Not only did the reverse osmosis clean my water as well or better than the supermarket system, but the guy I bought the system from hired me to work for him! No more storing jugs of water and gathering them up for the weekly trip. Now that clean, crisp water was available at my kitchen sink and I had a pretty cool new occupation too.

Yes, a reverse osmosis system is the perfect Christmas gift. If I had received one two-and-a-half years ago, I would have thought "what am I gonna do with this?", but I would have installed it and found out just how practical a present it is. Now that same system I paid $345.00 for can be shipped to your door for $230! Check one out and note that it comes with extra filter cartridges so you don't have to worry about those for nearly a year.

In the mean time, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and thanks for visiting Water Value online!
